Non so voi ma io quando penso ad un esponente rappresentativo per il genere “runner game” il primo titolo che mi viene in mente è quel capolavoro di BIT.TRIP Presents… Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, un gioco dal titolo che quasi scoraggia all’acquisto da quanto è contorto.
Ma non fatevi confondere dalle sensazioni che un semplice trailer potrebbe comunicare, stiamo parlando del capolavoro supremo del genere, capace di dosare livello di sfida e appagamento del giocatore. Un gioco che sorprende con lo straordinario numero di livelli, mai ripetitivi. Tappezzato di cameo e con una serie di livelli retrò, Runner 2 ha saputo imporsi nella scena grazie all’ottimo lavoro dei suoi creatori.
Inutile raccontarvi la gioia nello scoprire che Choice Provisions sta lavorando su Runner 3, il suo diretto successore, e che questo sarà – almeno inizialmente – un esclusiva che solo noi gloriosi possessori di Nintendo Switch potremo vantare. Gioia che non si placa al solo annuncio del gioco, ma che raggiunge il suo apice quando veniamo a scoprire che Charles Martines, la nota voce di Super Mario che già lavorò nel precedente capitolo, sarà nuovamente presente anche in questo nuovo episodio.

Choice Provisions is excited to announce that Runner3—the latest entry in the BIT.TRIP series—will be arriving later this year exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
Runner3 follows the continuing adventures of CommanderVideo and all his creepy friends. Their arch-rival, the Timbletot, is determined as ever to rid the multiverse of all its love and happiness. CommanderVideo, a lover if ever there were one, refuses to let this happen. He’s ready to jump, double-jump, wall-jump, slide-jump, underwear-jump, slide, kick, float, fly, and dance his way to victory, all across a medley of thrilling, challenging, and joyous levels!
The rhythm-music gameplay established in BIT.TRIP RUNNER and Runner2 remains firmly intact, but players can still expect a variety of new additions to the series, including:

- Item shops!
- Hero quests!
- Vehicles!
- New gameplay modes!
- New retro challenges!
- New playable characters!
- New character moves!
- New dance moves!
